After some seriously painful bureaucratic smoke and mirrors, the Chilean identity card has finally arrived. Just two visits to the national police headquarters, three visits the registry office and another visit to some other government-ish building, all with the standard language barrier difficulties. They fingerprinted every finger on both hands! Not sure what I'm supposed to do with it besides put it in my wallet. It doesn't get me anything fancy like discount movie tickets, but I'm sure it will come in handy at some stage.

nothing like putting high res images of ID on the net to ensure you are safe against indentity theft. any chance you could pop your PIN in the next blog post? Birth certificate? hahahaha.
